and now for something completely the same

So I didn't put up anything about my progress yesterday because, despite all my talk, I didn't actually get around to writing much of anything. This morning I woke up inexplicably early and then realized I was expected to go to work, buuuut... I'd been meaning to buckle down and write. Not to mention take a shower and do some research for D&D and work on actual school-work type stuff too.

So just now I sat down and wrote about 2.5k in an hour, which I feel pretty darn fantastic about, thank you very much. :D I hope to take a quick shower and get in tons more before I have to turn my attentions elsewhere, I really want to finish this! Anyway this brings my grand total of words up to 25,104... Not /too/ shabby but of course no where near where I wanted to be.

And this project... Just to record my happiness: I was talking to best friend Jessie on Wednesday about it and ending up emailing it to her later so she could just read what I've written. For those who don't know me that well I am EXTREMELY private about what I write. My own parents didn't believe that I wrote a lot until I managed to do and win NaNo in 08. So of course sending off an unfinished extremely self-indulgent fanfic to be read, even by such a close friend, was INCREDIBLY nerve-wracking. @_@ And the verdict was....

She liked it!!!! Aside from awful grammar, switching POVs, and royally screwing over my timeline/plot (not to mention this thing has been written in patches over about five years) she said the story and characters were good. :D And since I basically dumped the characters from the actual show quickly this is a nice compliment.

So anyway, there's my update for now. And behold random picture A that shows how I'm feeling about this... 


EDIT: It's been like three minutes since I put this up, but yeah. My showers plans have been horribly interrupted... Somehow despite there only being two of us in the house somehow me and my sister both end up want to take a shower at the same time! I told you people she's out to get me. >.> Or at least annoy.

Anyway, so this means I'll try and get in another 1-2k before I shower, and certainly this chocolate will help me in my cause... See picture A. :D

EDIT of EDIT: Just another update, cause do I really need another post? :p WC is a clean 25,730. The shower and whatnot took a little more time than I thought, and I always forget we have D&D at 5 instead of 6 or 7-- effectively cutting my time by a lot since I had plans to do some D&D related stuff before then.

Will try and push 26k before I sleep, shouldn't be hard, and this is totally my last time I come on here today. :p
